Google Displayed Halloween Themed Ad Units Yesterday

While I didn't see any of the ad units myself, Jenstar over at Jensense got some screen captures of the ad units. One of them is below.

They featured backgrounds with faded out ghosts, pumpkins and witches hats behind the text of the ad unit.

They look pretty cool to me, but I'd definitely like to have the choice on whether to display them or not if I was the publisher. Maybe it was some sort of beta only certain publishers had been contacted about ahead of time for their approval.

Jensense has another couple ad unit layouts they used as well.
